Lots of Lesvos by Movement on the ground is a social enterprise with a mission to build an inclusive and sustainable business model for the local Lesvos community. It provides economic opportunities for local farmers whilst enabling positive visibility and prospect for refugees on the Greek island of Lesvos. All profits are donated towards refugee centred projects.
Vagelli Voyiatzis is the man behind the premium olive oil of Lots of Lesvos. The proud olive farmer who tends to almost 2,000 olive trees across his lands, Vaggeli believes Lots of Lesvos is an important representation of the collaboration and strengthening of communities on the island. "I also know the difficulties faced by people on the move and I want to support these people by giving them greater opportunity to prosper," explains Vagelli.
Vaggeli's dream, supported by the Lots of Lesvos team, is to work together with his family, Lesvos locals and refugees in the fields of his farm. He wants to give refugees on Lesvos an opportunity to learn more about the beauty of working with olives, treating the trees with respect and learning how to improve the production.
Way to go Vaggeli!
